ROOKWOOD, 1912 DOUBLE VELLUM VASE, DIERS

This is a Rookwood 1912 Vase, model number 2040, painted by Ed Diers. I think the columbine is lovely.

hi there,
just found your blog after looking for other pottery collectors. I love the Rookwood art pottery that you've blogged and am trying not to think about it too much or i might just have to start yet another pottery collection! if you go to my blog, you'll see that i am a collector of the Staffordshire firms of Powell Bishop & Stonier ( and Bishop & Stonier - Bisto). We pottery nuts should stick together!

I love art pottery too - i recently went to a ceramics fair in Stoke-on-Trent and attended a talk by Paul Atterbury (from the Antiques Roadshow) about art pottery and it's history. It was really fascinating. You should try to get to the Potteries museum if you're ever in the UK midlands.

regards
Russell
